Company Owner
Mark Lyon is the owner and operator of Green Thumb, as well as its lead landscaper. His career quite literally began at the age of 14, when his parents purchased several acres of land and built a home. His first visit to a nursery sparked a love at first sight & he’s had his hands in the dirt ever since.
A seasoned graphic artist, Mark brings a strong sense of creativity to every project, designing, planning, and executing original landscape concepts. He is an attentive listener who takes in client feedback and blends it with his creative instincts to deliver thoughtful, personalized designs.
Over the years, Mark has studied both chemical and organic landscaping principles, applying the best of his knowledge to each and every landscape he creates.
Business Manager & Co-owner
Dawn Lyon has worked alongside Mark since the very beginning. Together, they run their family-owned business with a shared commitment to ensuring every customer is satisfied from start to finish.
Dawn collaborates with Mark on estimating potential new projects and manages all the behind-the-scenes operations, including scheduling, coordinating deliveries, and ordering materials. She also oversees customer inquiries, accounts receivable and payable, employee relations, and payroll.
Mark and Dawn have six grown children and seven grandchildren, and they cherish every opportunity to spend time with their family.

Our implementation experts work from detailed, illustrated plans tailored to each project—ranging from xeriscape conversions, ponds, and patios to fencing, pergolas, and misting or mosquito control systems.
