Mark Lyon is Green Thumb’s owner and operator, and also it’s chief landscaper. His career literally began at age 14 when his parents purchased several acres and built a home. Mark’s first trip to the nursery brought love at first site. He’s kept his fingers in dirt ever since.

Mark, a veteran graphic artist, uses his creativity to design, plan and execute original landscape designs. Mark is an attentive listener and absorbs feedback from clients and brings it together with a creative instinct to produce his designs.
Mark has spent years studying both chemical and organic principles of landscaping and applies the best of what he’s learned to each of his landscapes.

Dawn Lyon has been working by Mark’s side since the beginning. Together their family-owned business works to make sure the customer is happy from beginning to end.

Dawn Lyon has been working by Mark’s side since the beginning. Together their family-owned business works to make sure the customer is happy from beginning to end.
Dawn works with Mark on estimating potential new jobs, along with everything behind the scenes such as scheduling projects, making sure deliveries are set up and materials are ordered. She also handles everything from fielding customer inquiries, accounts receivable and payable, employee relations and payroll.
Mark and Dawn have raised five adult children and have two grandchildren that they love spending time with.
